3D Printed Sculptures in Springfield, MA, Made at a Real Creative Studio
If you're looking for 3d printed sculptures in Springfield, MA, Jones Co Creative Space can help. We're not a big-box print farm. We're a working creative studio where sculpture is part of what we do every day, alongside painting, murals, and laser engraving.
Michael Jones and his fiancee run this space as a hands-on creative operation. That means your 3d printed sculpture gets treated as an art object, not just a file in a print queue. We can work from a design you bring us, collaborate on something original, or point you toward the right approach for your project.
What 3D Printed Sculptures Look Like at Jones Co Creative Space
We print sculptures for a range of uses: decorative pieces for the home, custom gifts, original art objects, display props, and small-run pieces for events. Here's what the process typically looks like:
- You bring a concept or a file. A rough sketch, a reference image, or a ready-to-print STL file all work as starting points.
- We talk through the details. Size, material finish, whether you want it painted or left raw, and how it fits your timeline.
- We print and finish it here. Post-processing, sanding, and finishing happen in-studio, so the final piece looks intentional rather than fresh off a machine.
We primarily work in FDM printing. That's well-suited to medium and larger sculptural forms. For very fine detail work at small scale, we'll tell you honestly whether our current setup is the right tool or whether a resin-specialist shop would serve you better.
Serving Springfield, MA and the Surrounding Area
Our studio is in Springfield, roughly a 10-minute drive from downtown. We're also easy to reach from Ludlow, Chicopee, and most of Hampden County.
For local customers, pickup is arranged by appointment. We can ship finished sculptures, but fragile or large pieces carry real shipping risk, and we'll talk through that with you before you commit. If you're local, picking up in person also gives you a chance to see the piece before it leaves the studio and request any last adjustments.
Pricing and How Projects Work
Pricing depends on three main factors: size, complexity of the geometry, and how much finishing work the piece needs. Every piece is quoted per project. As a rough guide to what moves the price:
- Small sculptures (palm-sized, simple geometry, minimal finishing): the lowest-cost work.
- Medium pieces (up to roughly 8 to 10 inches, moderate detail, some post-processing): more design and finishing time, so a higher quote.
- Larger or highly detailed work (custom design time included, significant finishing): quoted individually.
A project with a lot of custom design time will cost more than one where you hand us a clean file. We'll give you a firm quote before anything gets printed.
Turnaround is usually one to two weeks for standard projects, though that can shift depending on our current schedule. Rush requests are sometimes possible. Ask.
When Jones Co Creative Space Isn't the Right Fit
We want to be straight with you about this. Jones Co Creative Space is a small creative studio, not a high-volume manufacturing operation. A few situations where you'd be better served elsewhere:
- You need dozens or hundreds of identical pieces on a tight industrial timeline. A dedicated production print service will be faster and cheaper at that scale.
- You need very high-resolution miniature detail, like tabletop game figures under two inches with fine facial features. Resin printing specialists handle that better than our FDM setup.
- You need engineering-grade tolerances for functional mechanical parts. That's a different discipline than sculptural work.
If your project falls into one of those categories, we'll tell you that upfront rather than take your money and deliver something disappointing.
